Geoffrey Bentrari sommelier at Hôtel du Président Wilson in Geneva (GE)
A French sommelier crazy about a Swiss wine!
Geoffroy Bentrari has been an unconditional fan of this wine since his early days as a sommelier. He speaks of it with great passion:
‘A solid vineyard! Géronde hill, Ardévaz, Tourmentin…. these appellations take us back to the source of the Rhône, a magnificent river that links us together in time, space and sharing… For the past 20 years, I’ve always found that the wines of the Rouvinez family have always been emotional and sensory.
Le Tourmentin: A purplish red with luminous red highlights, this blend smells like a basket of fresh strawberries with light touches of blueberries, cranberries and blackcurrants. The alcohol is immediately evident in the warmth that fills the mouth, but the timidity of the flavours hints at a potential that will match the promise of the nose’.
