Happiness in front of the Churfirsten
This is a family story that began with Arnold Gmür (Noldi to his friends) and his wife Julia. Several years ago, the couple went to a Valais wine tasting. Among the specialities, such as Petite Arvine and Heida, they discovered a wine they fell in love with: Le Tourmentin! This surprising vintage – at the time, blended wines were not common in Valais, or even in Switzerland – has never left the family cellar.
His son Beat has now taken up the torch and become a Tourmentin enthusiast in his own right. Sadly, Noldi is no longer with us, but there’s still plenty of opportunity to think of him when the whole family gather on the terrace of the house overlooking the majestic Churfirsten mountain range and enjoy a glass of Tourmentin to his health!
