Denise Guillod in Zürich (ZH)
A milestone anniversary
In 1985 Denise Guillod tasted Tourmentin for the first time. She was celebrating her thirtieth birthday at the time, and it was her father who introduced her to “this novelty from the Valais”. At the time, the wine was made exclusively from Pinot Noir. Denise was immediately seduced by the elegance and incredible finesse of this wine. At Christmas that same year, her father gave her a case of this wine, and the fervour she felt when she tasted a glass has never left her since.
Even when Tourmentin changed shape, label and content in 1988, Denise chose to remain faithful to the wine. Denise regularly gives a bottle of Tourmentin to her daughter, who has become an ardent fan of the wine. Retired since 2017, she takes advantage of her retirement to travel the world of wine, regularly making wine-related trips. But it’s in the Valais, in Zermatt, that she likes to spend her holidays. And to taste the wine she loves so much.
